To be fair, if someone showed me this and asked me "what is this pic. showing?" I would never have said "Nibelheim Reactor".

And those green crystals? For several minutes I was baffled as what Tiberium is doing in this picture. But now, I realize they are natural Materia formations, which are supposed to be super-rare.

Good stuff. Reminds me of the Command and Conquer games i used to play as a kid. The reactor and the green crystal for resources. :)

Great illustration

It still annoys the heck out of me that so many people keep spelling the name wrong. It’s supposed to be spelled Niflheim. Some of our stupid Americans can’t translate worth a darn and it always seems to be Norse names that suffer. XD Like Verdandy becoming Belldandy in Oh, My Goddess. >.<

But, I digress. Anyway, your rendition is very cool; your usage of color and lighting are really well done, I especially like the glow effects. The only thing is, I don’t know why but for some reason that bottom right corner where the pipe and glow are just looks a little weird, it throws my eye off. I think it’s the hash-like marks, I think they might be grass or something? They look out of place and I can’t really identify what they’re supposed to be. Otherwise everything else is really good. I also love the “bright sunny day over a gloomy dead area” ambiance; having the sun shining in the foreground mixed with dismal fog receding into the background.

fog, mist. Nibelheim is from Norse Mythology, where the ice jotunns came from.

That's where some of the jotunns came from, but not all of them. Niflheim and Muspelheim are where the Ice and Fire jotunns came from, respectively, and where thought to be placed at the far north and south of the world.

You have great work. Honestly, I'm speechless. You have great creativity and I hope you go far in life; and if you don't already have your art in video games or movies, when it happens I'm surely to play that game or watch that movie. Keep up the great work. :) If I may ask, how much time did it take you to conjure this?
